Taelor Baber

Programs & Outreach Coordinator

Taelor is a graduate student in the School of Animal Sciences working under Dr. Michelle Rhoads's lab, whose research involves environmental impacts, such as heat stress and how it relates to infertility in lactating dairy cattle. She is also pursuing to be a double Hokie as she has a Bachelor of Science in Animal and Poultry Sciences from Virginia Tech.

Outside of the lab, you can see Taelor being active on campus, such as serving on the executive board for MANRRS (Minorities in Agriculture Natural Resources and Related Sciences) as the Graduate Vice President and is now working for the BCC as the Program and Outreach Coordinator. She hopes that while working in the position, she can not only help uplift the community but also help/inform those about graduate school and the importance of more diversity within it.
