Welcome to El Centro!

El Centro is the Cultural and Community Center for the latinx community at Virginia Tech. This is a safe space for all the people that identify themselves as Latinos or Hispanos, for the people interested in our culture, and for all our allies. El Centro works with The Latino Library, initiated by a 2015 Virginia Tech Graduate School Diversity Scholar now hosts over 500 texts in multiple languages for all ages.

Creation of El Centro

Established July 2016, El Centro is Virginia Tech's Hispanic & Latino Cultural Center. You'll find community, resources, and kinship in 309 Squires Student Center. The Center holds up to 30 people at a time for meetings, programs, and gatherings.
