Alumni Advisory Board (BCCAAB)
The Black Cultural Center Alumni Advisory Board and friends established this scholarship on behalf of all Black Alumni to commemorate the fifteenth anniversary of the Black Cultural Center at Virginia Tech. This is the first ever scholarship developed by the Black Cultural Alumni Advisory Board Scholarship! The scholarship is intended to support and promote the purpose and mission of the Black Cultural Center and provide support to students who enhance the lives of those associated with the Black Cultural Center.
The Virginia Tech Black Cultural Center Alumni Advisory Board was conceived by Dr. Barbara Pendergrass as a way for alumni to reconnect with the University, oversee the continued development of the Black Cultural Center (“BCC”), and serve as a resource for the students that use the center. In this spirit, the Black Cultural Alumni Advisory Board Scholarship was established on behalf of all Black Alumni to commemorate the fifteenth anniversary of the Black Cultural Center at Virginia Tech. The scholarship is intended to support and promote the purpose and mission of the Black Cultural Center and provide support to students who enhance the lives of those associated with the Black Cultural Center.
Recipient(s) shall be selected from nomination of undergraduate students who take part in and support the Black Cultural Center activities and programs, or who participate in activities and programs that have similar missions to that of the Black Cultural Center.
