Native at Virginia Tech hosted its first powwow on campus in the spring of 2017. It has since become an annual tradition that the campus community and student organization are very proud of. The powwow highlights the diverse cultures of Native peoples within the Commonwealth of Virginia. We have also enjoyed participation from Native communities throughout the entire southeast region of the country and beyond. The powwow features Indigenous arts and crafts, Native dance exhibitions, and music. We encourage you to attend this year on Saturday, April 3, 2021. Grand entry begins at noon.

More details are soon to come. Interested vendors should email Native@vt.edu.

If you are wanting to dance/sing in this year's VT powwow - please find the registration link here. Note: There are three contests. One man hand drum, adult lady's jingle, and adult men's traditional.
