El Centro is the Hispanic and Latinx Cultural and Community Center at Virginia Tech. It is a community space dedicated to supporting students, faculty, and staff through cultural engagement, identity development, and connection. El Centro encourages reflection on personal and shared experiences, promotes academic and personal growth, and strengthens relationships within and beyond the university.

El Centro, the Hispanic and Latinx Cultural Center, is the Cultural and Community Center for the Latinx community at Virginia Tech. This is a support space for all the people that identify themselves as Latinos or Hispanos, for the people interested in our culture, and for all our allies. El Centro works with The Latinx Library, initiated by a 2015 Virginia Tech Graduate School Diversity Scholar now hosts over 500 texts in multiple languages for all ages.

Established July 2016, El Centro is Virginia Tech's Hispanic & Latinx Cultural Center. You'll find community, resources, and kinship in 309 Squires Student Center. The Center holds up to 30 people at a time for meetings, programs, and gatherings.
