Spring Powwow
Spring
The Virginia Tech powwow was first held on campus in the spring of 2017. Hosted by the Indigenous Community Center, in partnership with Native at VT student organization, it has since become an annual tradition that the campus community and student organization are very proud of.
The powwow highlights the diverse cultures of Native peoples within the Commonwealth of Virginia. It has also enjoyed participation from Native communities throughout the entire southeast region of the country and beyond. The powwow features Indigenous arts and crafts, Native dance exhibitions, and music. We encourage you to attend this year on Saturday, May 2, 2026. Grand entry begins at noon. This year’s event will be held at Solitude-Fraction (705 W. Campus Drive). In the event of rain, we will be in War Memorial Gym (370 Drillfield Drive).
