Indigenous Peoples Day

Second Monday of October

On February 18, 2019, history was made at Virginia Tech as the University Council approved a resolution to observe Indigenous Peoples Day. This was a student led effort with several students contributing to the writing and reviewing of the resolution. Indigenous Peoples Day is celebrated the 2nd Monday in October each year and recognizes the contributions of Indigenous Peoples past, present, and emerging.

Events are open to all.
