The Virginia Tech Black Cultural Center Alumni Advisory Board was conceived by Dr. Barbara Pendergrass as a way for alumni to reconnect with the University, oversee the continued development of the Black Cultural Center (BCC), and serve as a resource for the students that use the center. In this spirit, the Black Cultural Alumni Advisory Board Scholarship was established on behalf of all Black Alumni to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the BCC at Virginia Tech. The scholarship is intended to support and promote the purpose and mission of the BCC and provide support to students who enhance the lives of those associated with the BCC.
Recipient(s) shall be selected from nomination of undergraduate students who take part in and support the BCC activities and programs, or who participate in activities and programs that have similar missions to that of the BCC.
Scholarship awards may include awards up to $4,400.
The application deadline for the Spring 2017 award is April 1, 2017. Late applications will not be accepted.
