Rhonda Rogers

Executive Assistant/Office Manager

After 40 years of service within the Division of Student Affairs at Virginia Tech, Rhonda Miller Rogers joined the Cultural and Community Centers team as the Executive Assistant/Office Manager during the summer of 2013.  Her primary responsibilities include the oversight of daily departmental operations, cultural center reservations and fiscal management for the department.

Rogers received an Associate’s degree in Applied Science in Secretarial Science from Wytheville Community College (Wytheville, VA), a Career Studies Certificate:  Supervision in the Public Sector, from New River Community College (Dublin, VA), and completed the Customer Services Certificate Program sponsored by Virginia Tech’s Office of University Organizational and Professional Development.  She has been recognized for meritorious service to students by the Southeastern Association of Housing Officers (SEAHO), received the Virginia Tech Division of Student Affairs Heroine Award, and is a recipient of the Virginia Tech President’s Award for Excellence.

Rogers is married to Phil Rogers, a Virginia Tech Sports Hall of Famer, has two children, April and Jermaine, and has three grandsons, Holden, Jayden and Kaysen.  She is a member of the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) and serves as a Lay Leader at Asbury United Methodist Church.
